He has a bachelor of science in Fire Science from the University of Cincinnati, and a master’s degree in Labor and Human Resource Management from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business, and PHD from The Ohio State University in the workforce education. The Fire Chief is responsible for the division’s strategic planning, budget and finance, staff development, community fire risk management, community education and marketing.Ī longtime Gahanna resident, Kauser has served with Mifflin Township’s Division of Fire for more than 33 years, most recently as Deputy Fire Chief. The Fire Division serves more than 38,000 residents in Gahanna and Mifflin Township.
Frederick Kauser oversees the Division of Fire’s staff of more than 80 employees operating from four fire stations and a regional 9-1-1 center.
